ABOUT NATURUM LAPONIA

Naturum Laponia is located on the Viedásnjárgga peninsula in Stora Sjöfallet/Stuor Muorkke National Park. From the moment you turn off from road E45 just north of Porjus, it is 92 km to naturum. This is a visitor center for the entire World Heritage Laponia, and we have the overall responsibility for conveying nature and cultural information about the area. The local management organization Laponiatjuottjudus manages both the World Heritage and naturum.

YOUR ROLE

As an employee at naturum Laponia, you will work as a guide and with the daily operations of our café.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Guiding and welcoming our visitors
• Preparing and serving bread, smoked fish, sandwiches, pies, pastries, coffee, and other items in the assortment
• Cash handling
• Cleaning
• Maintenance of the operation
• Informing and answering questions about the World Heritage

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AS CAFÉ STAFF

You who work with us are service-oriented and keen to provide our visitors with the best experience. We prefer that you have previous experience from other visitor centers, have worked as a guide, in a café, or in a restaurant. You can communicate in Swedish and English and possibly other languages.

As a person, you are quick, flexible, and organized. You have a strong sense of responsibility and good teamwork skills. You have the ability to plan and structure your work effectively and are equally comfortable during busy days as well as more calm ones.

A valid B driver's license is required for the position.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The positions are seasonal, with one starting in April and the others starting in mid-June. There is the possibility of different lengths of employment, but at the longest until the end of September.

Laponiatjuottjudus offers rooms in our staff accommodation for a small fee, located adjacent to naturum. In the accommodation, you have access to your own room and share a kitchen, bathroom, and living room with other staff.

Duration/Working Hours: Part-time/Full-time/Seasonal employment.

Start: by agreement, end: by agreement.

Salary: According to agreement. Overtime compensation applies for work during weekends/evenings and vacation pay.
